About me:
My welcome mat is out. I hope you drop me a note and tell me about your day and your interests. I'm a 47-year-old female who was afflicted with a chronic pain condition known as RSD/CRPS about four years ago. Most of the time, I'm able to manage the pain (although it is always present); however, I do have times when I'm challenged with a flareup. Anyway, that's my condition in a nutshell. I'm a very good listener, compassionate to others' needs, warm and caring, and affectionate. I'm a creative person who is also motivated and enjoys learning new things or seeing different things. Originally from southern California, but have lived most of my life here on the east coast -- I feel I'm a mix of the two cultures, but my roots are in CA (as well as most of my relatives!) It gives me a different outlook on life as I grew up surrounded in a multiethnic, multifaith, multicultural area. Also, my parents tried to expose me and my sibs to a variety of things, so I'm the type of person who can enjoy just about anything -- a lot depends on the company you're with! I'm always saying, "I'm the kind the person who can go anywhere -- from a rodeo to the opera -- and still have a fantastic time." Life is full of experiences, and even if I can't do everything I used to do before, there are still many things waiting for me to discover. I enjoy being around people, hearing their stories, joking around, and just having a good time. I love to laugh. I call myself a true romantic and tend to view the world that way (sometimes not such a good thing), but I've always been that way so I suppose it's part of my personality as well as my feminity. I'm a "girlie-girl" and have been ever since I can remember. I love being a woman. Some of my interests include anything dealing with art or architecture, computers, writing, photography, film, fine dining (although I love a picnic too!), and much more. Thanks for stopping by. Looking for friendship and someone to talk to. I look for character in a person. I admire intelligence (enough to have a conversation with). If you make me laugh, you've scored major "brownie points" with me! They say laughter is good medicine, and ain't that the truth! Respect, charm, and confidence without arrogance. Someone who has a positive outlook on life and hopefully varied interests (only because I think it creates a more well-rounded persona). I'm just a regular person who "shines" at times, but I honestly tend to think of myself as just a regular, normal person. I'm very approachable and would enjoy hearing from you.
