About me
I am very playful, with an outstanding sense of humor (really! Ask anybody: even my ex! I crack myself up daily, but often many others as well).
I am a creative artist working mostly in the medium of filmmaking, but also as a musician. I play many different instruments, and promise to serenade my significant other.
I do like to talk, but even more I like silence. I am a good listener, but I do need to get to know the person before I feel comfortable enough sometimes to not speak as a defense mechanism.
Although I am out of practice, and it has been a long time, I have a deep romantic nature. I really enjoyed romance, and miss it very much.
I'm a geek/nerd, especially in the areas of film and music, but also tech, comic books, science fiction, fantasy, and classic television.
I'm an extremely young looking 58 years old. Just recently ended a 17 year marriage (an amicable divorce, and we're still friends).
I also ended a career of about the same amount of time being a Rabbi (Jewish Clergy). I burned out, both because of my disabilities, and because I am not into dogmatic or doctrinal religion. I am deeply spiritual, and my theology/philosophy is more inspired by Taoism and Buddhism than by Western religion.
My new career adventure, is being an entrepreneurial independent filmmaker, along with music composer/producer/performer.
I am rated as a 100% service-connected disabled veteran with the VA. That disability rating is a combination of his dysthymia and panic disorder. The diagnosis is complicated by a diagnosis of ADHD and OCD.
I also suffer from extreme fatigue, which might be a result of some of the above, plus sleep apnea, which was originally 50% of my 70% rating with the VA.
However, I am not defined by my disabilities. They are something I have not something I am.
There is much more about me, but hopefully, if you are someone who is reading this, and is still interested, you'll find out more in our communication and interaction.
Here's looking at you, kid . . .

About my match
One of the most important things I learned from a 17 year marriage, is how important the initial chemistry I do not believe that makes me shallow, but rather it makes me realistic.
So I will need that, upfront: in other words
Obviously, after that, it is up to the couple to stoke those using creativity, understanding, and good communication, expressing to each other mutual needs.
Passion for an appreciation for music is a must.
The same goes for film.
I like to read out loud to a person I love, and I love also being read to.
Because of the way my particular disabilities work, I need somebody who has patience, But is still willing to hold my feet to the fire when need be, both for the needs of the relationship, for each others needs, as well as to help me improve.
Lady needs to be able to both learn and teach. I am addicted to learning in many different forms. And, I still do like to teach even though it is no longer my profession.
Honesty and willingness to communicate or two of the most important factors.
I flunked mind reading both in college and graduate school. If there's something you need, or something that I am not doing, or am doing that shouldn't be, I need to be told, either in words out loud, or in writing.
I want someone who is both willing to go out on a real date from time to time as well as sometimes stay home with a good meal and a movie, and hopefully, some romance, affection, and some serious fondling before during and/or after.
I hope that this serves that purpose
